Weddings & Anniversaries
The coastline they got married on.
A wedding gift is one of the few things people keep for decades, and the ones they keep are the ones that are about them. Two names, a date, and the piece of coast where it happened.
Why this works
Nothing here is a separate wedding range.
These are the same pieces made every day, engraved with the couple instead of the buyer. That is the whole difference, and it is the part that matters.
A wedding gift competes with a registry, and the registry always wins on usefulness. It cannot win on meaning. A stand mixer is replaced in nine years; a board with the name of the beach they stood on is not replaced at all, because there is nothing to replace it with.
The gift they put on the wall is a different category from the gift they put in a cupboard.
- Engraved with their names, the date, or the coordinates of the venue
- Real coastline geometry, not a generic wave graphic
- Hand-poured resin, so no two pieces break the same way
- Ships straight to the couple with a handwritten card, free
- Made in San Diego, one at a time

Choosing
Pick by how close you are to them.
There is no wrong tier here, only a wrong fit. A coworker and a maid of honour are not buying the same object.
The wedding ladder
| Favor | Ornament or coordinates keychain For the wedding party, or as a table favor. Engraving is included in the price. |
$12–$24 |
| Guest | Slate coaster set with the couple's first names, or ocean resin coasters | $42–$62 |
| Close | Hardwood serving board with their names and the year | $85–$165 |
| Family | A Shoreline piece of the beach they married on, up to the signature round | $110–$475 |
Engraving is included in the price on everything on this page. Their names, the date, or the coordinates of the venue.
Anniversaries
The same pieces work harder on an anniversary than on the wedding itself, because by then the registry is long gone and the date means something.
| 1st | Slate coasters, names and date | $42 |
| 5th | Hardwood board, wood is the traditional gift | $85+ |
| 10th+ | Shoreline round of the beach, engraved with the date | $110+ |
Wood is the traditional fifth-anniversary gift, which is a coincidence this shop is happy to take credit for.

Their Names on a Coaster
A poured ocean scene on hardwood, wood and resin in blue or sunset, or their names cut into black slate. The most-given piece on this page, whichever material, because it sits out on a counter instead of in a cupboard.

Timing
Tell us the wedding date.
You will get an honest answer about whether it makes it, including a no.
- Order, with the engraving typed in
Whatever you type in the personalization field is what gets cut. Spelling, ampersands, capitals: it is copied exactly, so read it twice.
- A proof if the layout is unusual
Long names, a monogram, or coordinates plus a date get a quick layout sent back before anything is cut.
- Engraved, then poured if there is resin
Engraving is about a week. A resin pour needs seven to ten days to cure and cannot be sped up without ruining the surface.
- Ships free, boxed, anywhere in the US
To you, or straight to the couple with a handwritten card if you send the message.
Three weeks before the date is comfortable for anything on this page. Under two weeks, ask first.
How long before the wedding should I order?
Engraved slate and hardwood take about a week. Anything with a resin pour needs seven to ten days to cure before it can ship, and that is not a step worth rushing. Three weeks out is comfortable for anything on this page. Under two weeks, ask first and you will get a straight answer rather than a maybe.
Can you engrave a beach that isn't in the Shoreline collection?
Yes. The Shoreline collection covers 26 named San Diego spots because those are the ones asked for most, but the engraving is cut from real coastline data. Any stretch of coast, a lake, or the coordinates of the venue itself all work the same way. Say where in the form below.
Can it ship straight to the couple?
Yes, at no extra cost, anywhere in the US. Send the message you want on the card and it goes in the box handwritten.
Do you make favors for the whole wedding party?
Yes. Ornaments, coordinate keychains and magnets are the usual favors, and they are priced with the engraving included. Runs of a dozen or more are quoted rather than bought off the shelf, the same way corporate runs are.
What if I get a name wrong?
If it has not been cut yet, it is a free fix, so send a correction the moment you spot it. Once it is engraved the piece is one of a kind in the worst possible way, and personalized work is final sale. This is the reason for the proof step on anything unusual.
Same-sex couples, two surnames, no surname at all?
Whatever you type is what gets cut. There is no template deciding whose name goes first.
Ask first
Not sure it will arrive in time?
Send the date and what you are thinking of. You will get a straight answer, including a no if the date is too tight to do it properly.
