The coastline

What gets engraved.

Coronado gives you two coastlines in one piece, which is why it engraves so well. The ocean side is a long, unusually wide, almost straight beach. The bay side curves back on itself toward the ferry landing. Between them the Silver Strand runs south as a thin ribbon toward Imperial Beach. Engraved, it reads as a shape with a clear front and back rather than a single line, and the poured resin lands on the ocean edge where the surf actually is.

In the piece

  • The wide, flat ocean beach
  • The Silver Strand running south
  • The bay side and the ferry landing curve
  • The northern tip toward North Island
  • The line of the Hotel del along the sand

Every pour is different, which is the point. No two waves land the same way.

Sizes & pricing

Every size, the same coastline, the same hand-poured water.

Every size below is the Coronado coastline. Shoreline pieces carry a named, laser-engraved outline under the resin, so they price above the plain ocean pours in The Work.

4 inch Shoreline Ornament $24 Holiday-sized. The whole idea in your hand.
Set of six Shoreline Map Coasters $42 Six coasters, and you pick the six coastlines. Tell us which below, or leave it and we make all six Coronado.
8 inch round Shoreline 8" $110 Shelf or desk. The entry into the real line.
18 inch round Shoreline 18" $285 A wall piece. Serious presence.
24 inch Signature $475 The anchor piece. Made one at a time, to order.

Add engraved personalization, a name, a date, or the coordinates, to any Shoreline piece. Included in the price. Every piece is engraved and poured to order, so nothing here goes out of stock, and resin needs seven to ten days to cure before it ships.

Who buys it

Why this one, specifically.

Coronado is the Navy piece. It goes to families finishing a posting, to change-of-command and retirement gifts, and to couples married at the Del. It is the one most often ordered with a date engraved under it, because for most of the people buying it there is a specific date attached.

Personalization is engraved directly into the piece in one of three clean layouts: a name line, a date line, or latitude and longitude. It is what separates a decoration from something that stays on a wall for thirty years.

Coronado is engraved to order and usually ready within a week. Resin pours need seven to ten days to cure properly, and we won't rush that.
